About Albert Charles Oliver, Jr.
Albert Charles Oliver, Jr. (1944 - 1988) was an artist who worked out of Los Angeles, California and Jupiter, Florida. His active working period was from the mid-1970s until a few months before his death. His work, composed of Prismacolor colored pencil and watercolors, comprised a cycle of brilliantly colored pieces in two distinct sizes; a smaller 18” x 20” format and a large 30” x 40” landscape layout.
Albert Oliver’s work explores themes of mythology, folklore, geometry, jazz, and science fiction, as well as erotic and figural portraiture. He titled this cycle of work Illuminations.
This website is a tribute to Albert organized by his brother, Paul Oliver, in hopes of promoting his work and finding out the location and provenance of anyone who purchased Albert’s artwork in the past.
